Loog is a line of guitars designed to make it fun and easy to play music. It comes with an app that gets kids playing songs on day one!

Playing songs on guitar can be a daunting task for beginners. Loog solves this: our 3-string guitars reduce chords to the basic triad, allowing for an easier and faster learning process. With a Loog, kids can play songs on day one, feeling rewarded and encouraged to keep on playing and learning.

Loog's slim neck is perfect for little kids' hands, and because it only has 3 strings, chords are reduced to the basic triad -just 3 notes-, allowing for an easier and faster learning process.

A three string Loop Mini Acoustic Guitar with its accompanying app will make your kid jump into playing songs. It will keep them morally stimulated while playing the guitar. Kids will have fun as well as acquire knowledge and skills which will last within them forever.

Chord Flashcards

The Loog Mini comes with a deck of flashcards with chord diagrams. This is a simple but quite effective way of learning how to form chords on your Loog, or any guitar.

These provide a diagrammatic presentation of how to play chords which help kids visually grasp things in a better and faster manner.

The problem is that many people end up buying a ukulele because what they want is a small, portable, easy-to-play guitar , if that’s what you want, we think a Loog Mini is better suited for you.

A ukulele is an entirely different instrument: it has its own strings, its own tuning and its own sound. That won’t be the best option to go for if you need a short scale guitar.

The Loog Mini has classical guitar strings and standard guitar tuning, so it plays and sounds just like a guitar,  if you want to get a ukulele, you should definitely get one (they are actually fun to play along with the Loog!).

But ,if what you really want is a small, fun guitar, I humbly propose that you consider a Loog.

It may be disappointing to you but the guitar is only designed for right hand users.

Loog Mini Acoustic Guitar in Action

Final words

The Loog Mini is small, fun and cute, but it's not a toy: it's a real instrument, made out of real wood, that projects a sweet, beautiful sound that's just unbelievable for a guitar of this size and price.

The guitar is very light, but seems durable enough and the neck is tuned well - notes keep their proper tune up and down the neck and the strings tune properly with each other. The guitar, of course, only has three strings - the skinniest 3 strings from a normal 6 string guitar (G, B, and E for those interested). Players can learn simplified chords and get used to fingering the strings and fretboard on this guitar, then work their way up to a 6 string with more complex chord structures and fingering. It's a really smart way to ease young players into guitar basics.

Most guitars for kids are simply cheap, scaled-down replicas of a standard guitar. But they have six strings attached to them which makes the neck of the guitar too wide for a kid to play comfortably.

Buying a cheap guitar would surely save your money but in my opinion buying a cheap material guitar would not keep your kid engaged and learn as efficiently as he has calibre to learn.

This guitar also rewards you with a free Loog Guitar app and chord flashcards which motivates children to learn skills through a fun way. It ingeniously coaxes players along by unlocking songs as they master skills.

In short, if you are buying a guitar for your kid or beginner then it will be a perfect match for you.
